Polite Poop Control Program
______________________________________________________________________________________

R.D.Os’ Polite Poop Control Program it is divided into two sub-programs:
1. POLITE POOP PATROL.
2. Did You Forget Something?
These two sub-programs seek to increase public awareness about the importance to pick up after their dogs, and comply with Miami Beach’s
Pooper Scooper regulation.
1. POLITE POOP PATROL:
The concept of Polite Poop Patrol was born on November 2005, when Sergeant David de La Espriella approached our organization, and
told us about his idea of having some of our volunteers, when walking their dogs, wear T-Shirts with some kind of slogan asking for pick up
poop, and our logo on it. Also these volunteers would be carrying extra poop bags, so in case they witnessed an irresponsible dog owner not
complying with the pick up regulation, they would offer, in a polite way a poop bag, and engage on an explanation of the importance of this law.
The whole idea was to enforce dog poop pick up through Social Pressure.
After meeting with Sergeant De La Espriella, we started the fund raising process to fund the program.
Was only on February, after Beachwalk Committee was formed, that the project became a reality.
We are currently forming a POLITE POOP PATROL Committee. If you are interested on be part of it, please e-mail:

THANKS SERGEANT DAVID DE LA ESPRIELLA, all this is because of you!!!
THANKS VOLUNTEERS!!!
2. Did You Forget Something?:
Talking on South Pointe Park about the program and how to make it a reality, on of our members, Jeff Early, came up with a brilliant idea: why
don’t we make signs, like the “For Sale By Owner” written down ‘poop’, and ‘did you forget something?’ with an arrow pointing down, to put
them in our POLITE POOP PATROL missions. In this way people would see how much poop wasn’t picked up, and the magnitude of the
problem. We also bark and wage tails in Jeff’s honor.
These POLITE POOP PATROL missions will have a sign placing phase first, and later on the same mission a pick up phase.
Our first mission with signs will be on May 28, 2006, in South Pointe Park, at 5.30 p.m. Everybody is invited.
THANKS JEFF, YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!
